The sad thing is that a lot of these tapes share the same blooper reels. I have the Star Trek blooper reel on at least a half dozen tapes.

They do. A lot of it is pretty the same stuff that's been circulated in the film collecting/tape trading market for years.

I'm sure those Star Trek reels also pop up on Super 8mm too.

I have fun looking at the scratches and wear on the Star Trek blooper reel and comparing them. There's one really beat up Super 8 reel that seems to be used the most.

There's a couple of Warner Brothers Xmas blooper reels out there that get recycled on these compilations. And they're always cut up.

Those are the "Breakdowns of '--" reels I've heard of.

Yep. Those are the ones. And all of 'em are in the public domain.

Pretty much (yet I think the Goodtimes videos bothered to act like they're copyrighted anyway as they had some sort of FBI warning at the opening of 'em, whatever, they're PD).

The irony though was that many of these tapes usually showed up in budget VHS bins or shelves often stacked near the toy section of Hills Dept. Store where I live. Somehow my mom didn't mind buying these for me back then and I ate 'em up!

And it really amused me one of these tapes was put out by a company labeling itself as "Parents Approved Video".
